Welcome to A Touch of Reiki

Reiki is a rediscovery of a universal energy healing system used hundreds, perhaps thousands of years ago. The rediscovery and interpretation of this energy form was developed by Dr Mikao Usui at the turn of the twentieth century. Reiki has since spread throughout the world taking various names and gaining recognition as one of the most effective non-invasive complementary therapies.

Many scientific studies around the world have provided evidence supporting the effectiveness of Reiki on a wide variety of ailments and conditions. People suffering from nervous disorders in particular have shown to benefit a great deal from the application of Reiki (please see our Reiki Research page).

While Reiki does not increase life expectancy there is certainly very strong evidence to support the fact that it significantly increases the quality of our lives. Reiki can result in a reduction in pain, bolster the immune system ad reduce blood pressure. Reiki is a very versatile and can help all living creatures.

It is entirely safe for everyone from the faetus to the elderly as Reiki is natural in a universal sense; even trees, plants, clouds, and rocks can be 'Reiki-ed'.
